With an aim to promote research and utilize time in a productive manner, a series of presentations was
organized by the faculty members of various departments of Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara for their peers. These presentations were organized with the effort of the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Council) of the college.In these presentations, the staff members touched various important topics and gave power point presentations on issues which are relevant in present times. Dr. Vanita Chahal from Department of
Science talked about ‘Cell Phone Radiations and its impact on health’; Ms. Vanshika from Department of
Nutrition and Dietetics talked about the right diet that humans need to consume; Dr. Anita Gogna from
Department of Economics talked about ‘Goods And Services Tax’ (GST) and its impact; Ms. Archna Walia
from Department of Journalism and Mass Communication gave a presentation on ‘Ethics in Advertising’
and Dr. Preet Arora from Department of Hindi talked about ‘Women Empowerment’. The faculty members of the college participated whole heartedly in these presentations, which were followed by question-answer sessions.Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia appreciated all the presenters and added that such activities are organized by the college on regular basis for enhancing the skills of faculty members.
