Legal Literacy cell, NSS unit and Department of Political Science of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organized a Rally and Seminar on “Importance of Right to Vote”Under the Guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal and with the directions of DC, Kapurthala, Smt. Dipti Uppal, SDM, Phagwara, S. Kulpreet Singh, Sveep Nodal Officer Sh. Rajesh Kumar. This rally was  organized with the message of public awareness and in turn ensure maximum voter turnout in the upcoming elections on 20th February, 2022. Principal of the college, Dr. Savinder Pal motivated the students to use their legal rights to vote and electing right and capable person in tne elections. Many college students and NSS volunteers participated in the rally and carried banners in their hands giving different messages which emphasized the importance of voting. A Seminar was also organised on  “Importance of Right to Vote”. Ms Kamlesh, Head Department of History was the Resource Person. Dr Rinka Head Department of Political Science welcomed the Resource Person. Through her Lecture, Ms. Kamlesh inspired the students to exercise their right to vote. She said that youth of the nation has the power to change the fate of the nation and for that they need to come forward to cast their valuable votes. About 60 Students attended this Seminar. Dr. Priyanka Aeri  Programme Officer thanked the Resource Person for sparing her Precious time.
