As part of the celebrations of Environment week, Poster Making Competition was organized by the Political Science department of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara. 24 students participated in the competition, which was judged by Ms. Aman Lata from English department and Dr. Sudhamani Sood from Fine Arts department. Meena Rani of B.A. second year stood first ; Sonia Verma from B.A. final year stood second and Manisha Kumari from B.A. first year stood third. Priya and Simran from B.A. final year got consolation prize. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia addressed the students on the issue of environment sustainability and gave away prizes to the winners.Earlier, Amritpal Kaur of M.A. Punjabi second semester stood 17^th in university, got her name registered in merit list and second in district during the result declared by Guru Nanak Dev University.
