KNCW is celebrating “HAR GHAR TIRANGA WEEK”

Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara is celebrating ‘Har Ghar Tringa’ week from Aug 8 to Aug 15,2022 as a part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence. On this occasion, NSS unit, NCC wing and history department organised an extension lecture where in Ms. Kamlesh from history department talked on the importance of Tringa. She also explained the significance of Indian National Flag colours as each colour symbolises different meaning. About 50 students attended this lecture. Volunteers also took out a rally holding flags. Dr. Savinder Pal, College Principal, averred that the national flag of india is a symbol of honour, patriotism, and freedom for the country. She also added present generation should value the struggle the freedom fighters went through.
She also lauded the efforts of Dr. Lalit Kumar and Ms. Nidhi Jassal, Programme officers and Dr. Palwinder, NCC-CTO for origanising this event.
