KNCW gets DCA

Adding another feather in its proud cap, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara has started one year Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) from the present academic session under Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. Sharing this proud achievement, Principal of the College, Dr. Kiran Walia thanked GNDU for sanctioning this course. She said that this one year diploma course is meant for those students who wish to gain basic knowledge of computers, since computer knowledge is like a basic necessity nowadays for those wishing to excel in any field. “The students, who have completed their 12 in any stream, are eligible for the admission to this course. On completion, they would get a diploma from GNDU which is recognized all over the world,” she added. The principal further added that the admission for this course has already started.

It may be mentioned that the campus of KNCW is abuzz with activity since the process of admissions for various courses has already started. Dr. Walia said that the students interesting in seeking admission should visit the college at the earliest and get themselves enrolled before the classes begin. The institute, which has become synonymous with quality education for girls in this region, offers BA, BCom, BBA, B.Sc. (Med, Non Med, Computer Science, Economics, Fashion Designing), BCA and BAJMC at the UG level and MA in Hindi, Punjabi, Political Science, Economics, M. Com and M. Sc. (Computer Science and Fashion Designing) at PG level. The college also offers PG Diploma in Computer Applications, Fashion Designing and Cosmetology, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Beauty and Wellness along with various add on courses for the students.
