Fashion Show: Faizaan-e-Nazar
The Fashion Designing Department of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, organized Faizaan-e-Nazar on March 22, 2025. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Nidhi Sardana, renowned fashion designer, as the Chief Guest.
Students of the Fashion Designing Department showcased their creativity and talent by presenting their designer dresses on models, who mesmerized the audience with their graceful performances. A special highlight of the event was the modeling round featuring faculty members, which captured everyone’s attention.
The performances were adjudged by Ms. Sarbjeet from Saini Boutique and Ms. Daljeet Kaur from Darj Boutique.
Among the models, Omika Kaushal of Diploma in Nanny Care Semester 2 bagged the first position. Sukirti Sharma of B.Sc. Medical Semester 6 got the second position, while Muskanpreet Kaur of B.A. Semester 6 won the third position.
In the designer rounds, Amandeep Suman of M.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester 2 bagged the first position in the Black Parade round, while Namisha of B.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester 6 got the second position. In the Skirt Fusion round, Jashandeep Kaur and Jannat of B.Sc. Fashion Designing Semester 4 won the first and second spot where as In the Gown Glamour round, Jasdeep and Namisha (both B.Sc. F.D. Sem 6) bagged the first and second positions respectively.
In the Lehnga Lounge round, Palak and Hanisha (both B.Sc. F.D. Sem 6) secured the first and second positions respectively.
In the Denim Fusion round, Anamika Sharma and Jeevan Jyoti (both M.Sc. F.D. Sem 2) bagged the first and second positions respectively.
In the Kids Wear – Mini ke Fashion round, Kavita (M.Sc. F.D. Sem 4) and Jeevan Jyoti (M.Sc. F.D. Sem 2) got the first and second positions respectively.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Ms. Nidhi Sardana, appreciated the dedication and hard work of the department and the students. Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, lauded the efforts of the department for successfully organizing the event and encouraged students to participate actively in such events for their holistic growth.
