A total of 37 meritorious and economically disadvantaged students of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara were awarded scholarships amounting to ₹74,000 under the Charanjit Singh Bassi Memorial Scholarship. The first installment of the scholarship was distributed on April 8, while the remaining 13 cheques were handed over today.

This initiative was supported by the Phagwara Environment Association, while the scholarship distribution was organized by the Blood Bank.

Mr. Raghabotra expressed his gratitude to Academic Director Dr. Savinder Pal and Principal (Officiating)Dr. Ruminder Kaur for their initiative in bringing this scholarship to the college and for their continuous efforts in supporting academic development.

The college also extends special thanks to Mr. K.K. Sardana, Managing Director of Sukhjit Starch & Chemicals Ltd., Phagwara (and President of the Phagwara Environment Association), and Prof. Jaswant Singh Gandam, Honorary Secretary of the Bassi Trust.
