NSS Unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organised a one day educational camp at Village Chak Hakim for the enlightenment of the village women about menstrual hygiene. The camp was organised in the village. During this camp ,the nss volunteers enlightened the women and girls of the village about the importance of menstrual hygiene as well as good diet .College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal also addressed the girls and women of the village about the safety measures to be taken during those days .Around 50 NSS Volunteers became a part of this educational camp. During this one day camp a cleanliness drive was also carried out in the college campus. Ms. Nidhi Jassal ,NSS Programme Officer also accompanied the volunteers during this camp . College Principal, Dr Savinder Pal appreciated the efforts put in by NSS Programme Officers, Dr. Lalit Kumar, Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Ms Monika (Incharge of Buddy Group) motivated them to organise more such events in the future also.
