Recreational Excursion to Dharamshala and McLeodganj

A group of 45 students from the PG Department of Computer Science, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, accompanied by their teachers Mr. Harvinder Chauhan, Ms. Anjli Walia, Ms. Hardeep Kaur Parmar, and Ms. Satveer Kaur, organized an educational trip to Dharamshala and McLeodganj on 7 March 2026.

During the visit, the students explored the famous Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, known for its breathtaking surroundings and scenic view of the Dhauladhar mountains. They also visited the sacred Bhagsu Naag Temple and enjoyed the natural beauty of the nearby Bhagsu Waterfall, where the students spent memorable moments amidst the peaceful environment.

The group further explored the vibrant local markets of McLeodganj, where they observed Tibetan handicrafts, traditional items, and the rich cultural atmosphere of the region. The excursion provided students with a refreshing break from routine academic life and gave them an opportunity to learn about the natural beauty and cultural diversity of Himachal Pradesh.
Principal madam congratulated the department and appreciated the efforts of the faculty members for organizing such a meaningful educational excursion. She also motivated the students and staff to continue participating in such enriching activities in the future.
