Kamla Nehru College for Women organised a warm and graceful send-off party in honour of its esteemed Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, who retired as Principal on February 28, 2026, after rendering dedicated years of service to the institution.
Dr. Savinder Pal, accompanied by her family members, was accorded a floral welcome.Ms. Swati from the Department of Computer Science shared her views and memories associated with the Principal. Ms. Isha Chhabra read the citation in honour of Dr. Savinder Pal, outlining her academic achievements, administrative excellence, and valuable contribution to the growth of the institution. Dr. Lalit and Ms. Vatandeep dedicated a song to her, which was appreciated by all present. A PowerPoint presentation showcasing memorable moments from her long journey in the college was also displayed.
Dr. Ruminder Kaur, Vice Principal, expressed her appreciation for Dr. Savinder Pal’s leadership and commitment to the institution. Mr. Kuldip Singh also shared his thoughts and conveyed his best wishes on the occasion.
In her address, Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of the institution, reflected upon her long and enriching journey and expressed gratitude to the management, faculty, non-teaching staff, and students who had been part of her professional journey.
Mr. Dhiraj Sardana, President, delivered a speech acknowledging her significant contributions to the development and progress of the college. The distinguished members of the management present on the occasion included Mr. Ramesh Jain, Joint Secretary; Mr. Baldev Raj, General Secretary; Mr. Dhiraj Sardana, President; and Mr. Chirag, Chartered Accountant of the college. As a mark of respect and appreciation, a special gift was presented to Dr. Savinder Pal by the management members.
The tea
The programme was conducted by Ms. Nidhi and Ms. Jyoti, who served as the stage secretaries. The event concluded on a dignified and celebratory note, marking the successful completion of Dr. Savinder Pal’s illustrious service to the institution.
