Adventure Hiking and Trekking Camp
Ms. Nidhi Jassal, Assistant Professor in Commerce and NSS Programme Officer, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, was selected as the Camp In-charge and carried out all assigned responsibilities with remarkable dedication, discipline, and leadership. A total of 64 students from eight colleges and schools participated in the camp.
The major trekking and exposure sites included Siswan Dam, Baddi (industrial area exposure trek), and Mirzapur Dam. Along with trekking, a wide range of activities were organised to ensure the holistic development of the participants. These included adventure activities such as zip-lining and ropeway, sports events like badminton and volleyball, team-building activities, mind-concentration games, and a cultural evening that provided students a platform to showcase their talents and foster unity and cultural exchange.
Ms. Nidhi Jassal continuously motivated the students to actively participate in all activities and guided them at every step, ensuring that all participants successfully completed the trekking, sports, and adventure tasks with confidence, safety, and a strong sense of teamwork.
In recognition of her dedication, valuable contribution, and outstanding performance, she was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation as Camp Commandant by the Directorate of Youth Services, Punjab.
