Under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal of Kamla Nehru College, Phagwara, Home Science Association organized Soft Toy Making workshop on 14-09-2025 for students of Nanny Care and Nutrition. The program aimed at enhancing the creative skills of childcare students. Ms. Vaishali , Assistant Professor of Home Science Department demonstrated making different types of soft toys. During the workshop, students learned to design and stitch safe, child-friendly soft toys using simple materials. They came to know about importance of toys in early childhood development and techniques for ensuring safety and age-appropriate design of toys. The event saw active participation from students and faculty alike, with approximately 24 attendees. Participants expressed positive feedback, noting that the workshop strengthened both their practical skills and their understanding of childcare. Principal Dr. Savinder Pal commended the efforts of faculty members for coordinating this event.
