Under the able guidance of Dr. Savinder Pal,Principal Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara. Sh. Bhag Ram Handa Library in collaboration with the Ranganathan Library Club conducted Library Orientation Programme. The programme was specially designed keeping in view the needs of both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of the college. Through this initiative, the students were given proper orientation regarding the overall functioning, facilities, and working of the college library .Classes of B.A ,B.Com,B.B.A ,all B.Sc ,B.voc,M.Sc f.d,M.sc C.sc and all diplomas were given orientation.More than 700 students were made aware of the library collection.

The response of students towards this Programme was very positive and encouraging. Most of the students, especially those who who are new to the college, found the programme extremely useful as earlier, many of them were unaware of the wide range of resources and services available in the library. After attending the orientation, they expressed that they now feel more confident and comfortable in using the library.
Dr Savinder Pal remarked that the
initiative of Sh. Bhag Ram Handa Library in collaboration with the Ranganathan Library Club is truly commendable. It is not just a routine activity but a step towards creating a strong reading culture in the college. Such programmes ensure that the library does not remain a silent storehouse of books but becomes a living, breathing space of knowledge, interaction, and learning.
