Drug Abuse Awareness

Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, successfully organized a seminar on the theme “Drugs Steal Dreams: Choose a Brighter Path” in the college’s Audio Visual Lab at 10:20 A.M.

The event commenced with Dr. Rinka Janjua making students understand the significance of moral values in leading a disciplined and purposeful life. Following this, Ms. Anita motivated the students to stay away from drugs, highlighting the devastating effects of substance abuse on one’s health, future, and relationships.

The seminar concluded with the valuable words of Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of the college, who encouraged students to make wise life choices and contribute towards creating a drug-free society.

A Declamation Competition was also conducted, with a total of 70 participants actively taking part and expressing their strong stance against drug abuse. Manjoban spoke on Drug De-addiction Program, Anmol on Drug-Free India, Nitika on Drug Abuse, and Manvi shared real-life examples to emphasize the dangers of drugs.

The event was coordinated by Ms. Isha, Ms. Khushi, and Ms. Simran, under the overall incharge Dr. Rinka Janjua.
