Career Guidance and Counseling session held at KNCW

Under the directions of District Administration, a Career Guidance and Counseling session was held at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Tuesday. The program was dedicated to the occasion of Children’s Day and was organized under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sh. Mohammad Tayyab. Tuesday’s event was held under the guidance of ADC Ms. Babita Kaler, with the objective of familiarizing the students with various career options and future prospects of different streams and courses that they can pursue after 10+2. SDM Jyoti Bala was also present at the function.
On the occasion, various presentations and talks were given to the students. Mr. Sandeep Walia from Kamla Nehru College For Women gave a presentation on Career Guidance, Dr. Vanita Chahal also from Kamla Nehru College for Women gave a talk on Environment, Ms. Slinka Sharma from Guru Nanak College Sukhchainana Sahib gave a talk on Mobile and Social Media, On behalf of Punjab Police ASI Mr. Surinder Singh gave a talk on road safety, Dr. Kamal Kishore, SMO gave a talk on Drug Abuse and Prevention, Mr. Baljit Singh Ubhi gave a talk on skill development and Mr. Ranjit Gogna, Principal, Government Senior Secondary School for boys gave a talk on moral values .
Nearly 1000 students from various local schools were present on the occasion. These included Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Ramgarhia Senior Secondary School for boys, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, St. Soldier Divine Public School, Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Sh. Mahavir Jain Model School, St. Sarwan Dass School, Kamla Nehru Public School, Ramgarhia Girls Senior Secondary School, Swami Sant Dass Public School, TWEI Senior Secondary School, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Saffron Public School and SD Putri Pathshala and SD Model Senior Secondary School. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia welcomed the guests and thanked the District Administration for giving the college this honour of hosting the event.
