Under the visionary guidance of Director Academics, Dr. Savinder Pal, and the leadership of Officiating Principal, Dr. Ruminder Kaur, Kamla Nehru College for Women has achieved remarkable recognition in the field of environmental sustainability and green campus initiatives.

The institution has been proudly conferred with the prestigious Sustainable Campus Award 2026 Certification by the National EduTrust of India (NEI) in acknowledgment of its continuous dedication towards environmental awareness, sustainable development, and eco-conscious practices within the campus. The honors were presented by Dr. Deepika Bakshi (Director, NEI) and Mr. Samarth Sharma (Chief Executive Officer, NEI).

Adding another feather to the institution’s cap, Officiating Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur was honored with the distinguished Eco Visionary Leadership Award 2026 for her inspiring leadership, commitment, and continuous encouragement towards building a greener and more sustainable academic environment.

Dr. Priyanka Aeri , Nodal Officer was felicitated with the Sustainability Mentor Award for her exceptional coordination and dedication to sustainability initiatives. Alongside her, Dr. Tavisha Singh and Ms. Isha were also recognized with the Sustainability Mentor Award for their valuable guidance and active involvement during 2-week Green Bharat environmental challenge. Further acknowledging student participation and enthusiasm, 35 students of the college were honored with the Sustainability Championship Award for their sincere commitment.
