The Science Department of Kamla Nehru College for Women celebrated National Technology Day with great zeal and enthusiasm by organizing a series of engaging and educational activities for students. The event aimed to promote scientific awareness, creativity, innovation, and cyber security consciousness among students.
Around 70 students were present during the celebration, out of which 25 students actively participated in different competitions and activities.
The celebration began with a Poster Making Competition titled “Colors of Innovation”, where students showcased their creativity and innovative ideas through attractive and meaningful posters related to science and technology. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various classes.
The winners of the Poster Making Competition were:
First Prize: Anmol
Second Prize: Sukhpreet
Third Prize: Sachman Kaur
Consolation Prize: Jasmeet Kaur
Another major attraction of the celebration was the “Cyber Smart Quiz”, a quiz competition based on technology, cyber security, and digital awareness. Students displayed their knowledge and awareness regarding modern technological advancements and online safety.
The winners of the Quiz Competition were:

Second Prize: Pooja and Meenakshi
Third Prize: Ishana and Drishti
A Cyber Security Pledge was also organized during the event to encourage students to become responsible digital citizens and spread awareness about the safe and ethical use of technology.
The programme was graced by Dr. Savinder Pal (Director Academics) and Dr. Ruminder (Officiating Principal) who motivated and encouraged the students to actively participate in such informative activities. They appreciated the sincere efforts of the Science Department in organizing the event successfully and congratulated the entire department for its commendable efforts.
