Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, the NSS Unit and NCC Wing of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, commenced Independence Day celebrations today, which will continue from August 11 to August 15, 2025.

The festivities began with the enthusiastic participation of students in the “Selfie with Tiranga” activity, promoting the spirit of patriotism. As part of the green initiative, saplings were also planted on the campus to spread awareness about environmental conservation. A Poster Making Competition was also organised, in which NSS volunteers and NCC cadets participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and love for the nation.

Principal Dr. Savinder Pal applauded the patriotic enthusiasm of students and appreciated the dedicated efforts of Ms. Nidhi Jassal, NSS Programme Officer, and Ms. Khushi, NCC CTO, in organising the celebrations with great zeal and coordination.
