On April 3rd ,2026 Buddy Group from Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, visited Village Khurampur to carry out a social awareness and welfare initiative focused on menstrual hygiene.

During the visit, the group distributed sanitary pads among local women and adolescent girls, aiming to promote health awareness and break the stigma surrounding menstrual hygiene.

The activity was led by group in-charges Ms. Monika and Ms. Simranjeet,and Ms.Sudhamini Sood along with five dedicated student volunteers. The team actively engaged with the village community, educating them about the importance of proper hygiene practices and access to sanitary products.

This initiative was conducted under the able guidance of Director Academics Madam Dr. Savinder Pal and Officiating Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur, whose continuous encouragement motivates students to participate in meaningful community service.

The visit was well-received by the villagers, and the effort was appreciated as a significant step toward empowering women and improving health awareness in rural areas.
