The PG Department of Commerce, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organized its Annual Entrepreneurial Fair on March 14, 2026, dedicated to the celebration of International Women’s Day. The event was organized by the Commerce Club under the theme “Accelerating Women in Action and Empowering the Economy.”

The fair was inaugurated by Dr. Savinder Pal, Director Academics, in the presence of Officiating Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur, Head of the Commerce Department Ms. Sanjna Walia, Senior Faculty Ms. Sandeep Nandra, Event In-charges Ms. Nidhi Jassal, and Ms. Poonam, Overall Discipline incharge Ms Simranjeet Walia and Creative Team incharge Ms Anjali and Ms Jahanvi.

Around 100 students actively participated in the fair by setting up a wide range of stalls including food stalls, gaming villa, DJ music corner, and merchandising stalls featuring candle making, cakes, mobile accessories, suits, and jewellery. The event aimed to encourage entrepreneurial skills among students and provide them with practical exposure to business ideas, marketing strategies, and customer interaction.

Students from BBA, B.Com, B. Voc. and M.Com classes participated enthusiastically, demonstrating creativity, innovation, and teamwork. The fair received an overwhelming response with around 650 students and faculty members from different departments visiting the stalls.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Savinder Pal, Dr Ruminder Kaur and Madam Sanjna Walia jointly appreciated the hard work, creativity, and teamwork of the Commerce Club members and students for making the event a grand success. The fair provided students with an excellent platform to develop entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and practical business experience.

The event concluded successfully with great enthusiasm, inspiring students to explore entrepreneurship and become future job creators rather than job seekers.
