A grand farewell party was organised at Kamla Nehru College for Women for the final-year students with great enthusiasm and joy. The event was organised by the Department of Social Sciences, with around 600 students and 70 staff members present on the occasion.
The programme began with the honouring of the chief guest, Madam Mamta Punj, Principal of S.D.K.M.V. School. The judges for the event were Ms. Anukampa (Vocational Trainer, Beauty & Wellness, Government Senior Secondary School), Ms. Minni from G.G.S.S. School, and Ms. Ashu, H.O.D. of Commerce at P.K.R. Jain Model School. They were accompanied by the guests of honour—Dr. Nimratdeep Kaur, Assistant Professor in the Department of Punjabi, and Madam Sita Rani, Lecturer in Punjabi at Government School, Bara Pind.
The Director, Dr. Savinder Pal, and the Principal, Dr. Ruminder Kaur, warmly welcomed the guests and formally inaugurated the event. In her address, Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur inspired the students with her motivating words.
The programme featured vibrant performances including energetic dances, melodious songs, and impressive modelling acts. The modelling competition, comprising four rounds, remained the highlight of the event, showcasing confidence, creativity, and elegance among participants. A particularly eye-catching and heart-raising performance was presented by the students of the Sports Department, beautifully prepared under the guidance of their faculty member, Ms. Shubhasmita Sahoo.
The event was further enriched by meaningful speeches. Head Girl Manmeet Kaur shared her experiences in an inspiring address, while Divya Sharma delivered a heartfelt farewell speech.

The winners of the modelling competition were awarded at the end of the event. Prabhleen was crowned Miss KNC 2026, Jasmine was declared 1st Runner-up, and Muskan secured the 2nd Runner-up position. Special titles were awarded to Palak (Miss Confident), Prena (Miss Graceful), and Vandana (Miss Elegant).
The event was efficiently compered by Muskan and Kashish.Dr. Rinka delivered the vote of thanks.
