Two-Day Workshop on “Creativity to Start-Up – A Simulation Journey”

Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a two-day workshop on “Creativity to Start-Up – A Simulation Journey” aimed at nurturing innovative thinking, entrepreneurial skills, and practical application among students.
The session on Day 1 was conducted by Ms. Nidhi Jassal, Assistant Professor (Commerce) and Coordinator of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell. She provided in-depth knowledge and guidance to students on innovation, start-ups, the Business Model Canvas (BMC), and design thinking.
Using interactive teaching methods, Ms. Nidhi Jassal introduced students to real-life innovations such as Ola, PVR, and the evolution of the selfie, and explained how creativity can drive product and service innovation.Based on the learnings of Day 1, students were assigned practical tasks to: Design innovative logos for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell using design thinking principles . Develop start-up ideas and represent them through the Business Model Canvas (BMC).
On Day 2, building upon the knowledge gained during the first day, the students gave practical presentations of their innovative start-up ideas using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and design thinking approach. They successfully identified real-world problems and presented creative, sustainable, and implementable solutions through structured models.

Each team presented their BMC models covering value proposition, customer segments, key activities, revenue streams, and social impact. Additionally, students presented over 28 creative logo designs for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell, reflecting their understanding of brand identity and innovation.
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and the enthusiastic participation of the students. Certificates of participation and plants were given to students as a token of appreciation and to encourage a spirit of green entrepreneurship.
