Under the able guidance of the Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, the NSS Unit and NCC Wing of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated Republic Day with great zeal and patriotic spirit.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the College Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, in the presence of Ms. Nidhi Jassal (NSS Programme Officer), Dr. Tavisha (NSS Programme Officer), Ms. Khushi (NCC CTO), along with NSS and NCC volunteers. After the flag hoisting ceremony, the National Anthem was sung by all present, instilling a sense of unity and national pride.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal emphasized the importance of upholding constitutional values, discipline, and responsible citizenship among the youth for nation-building.

Around 100 students actively participated in the celebrations, reflecting their enthusiasm and commitment to national values. As part of the programme, a Poster Making Competition was organized to encourage creativity and patriotic expression among students, which witnessed enthusiastic participation.

To mark the occasion, laddoos were distributed among all volunteers and staff members, adding sweetness to the patriotic celebrations. The programme concluded on a joyful and inspiring note, reinforcing the values of unity, responsibility, and service to the nation.
