April 5, 2025: An orientation programme was organized at Kamala Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Saturday for the students of the new academic session. The event was held under the able chairmanship of the college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal.

The event was attended by the Principal, vice-principal, Dr Ruminder, Ms Sanjana Walia, Dr. Neeti, Dr. Rinka, Ms Priyanka and other faculty members, and about 70 students.

During the programme, the faculty members introduced the students to the various subjects and provided important academic guidance. They engaged the students in an interactive session, asking them about their understanding of the purpose of education. They emphasized the importance of financial independence for women too.

The orientation also served as a platform for students to discuss academic concerns and clarify doubts with the college staff. Dr. Savinder Pal elaborated on the college rules, teaching methods, and the importance of student involvement in the learning process. She also invited suggestions from the students to bring innovation into the current teaching practices.

Dr. Pal highlighted that the college organizes such orientation programmes every year to foster direct communication between students and the college administration. She stressed the importance of open dialogue, mutual understanding, and collaboration among students, teachers, and parents for the overall enhancement of the educational experience.

The programme concluded with a feedback session, where students shared their thoughts and experiences.
