National Voters’ Day
Under the able guidance of college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal NSS unit, Electoral Literacy Club and Legal Literacy Club of the college celebrated National Voters’ Day with great enthusiasm to promote awareness about the importance of voting and democratic participation among students.
The celebration comprised three major activities. The programme commenced with a E-Pledge, where students pledged to uphold the values of democracy and exercise their voting rights responsibly. This was followed by an awareness lecture delivered by Dr. Rinka, Legal Literacy Club Incharge, who emphasized the significance of voting, electoral rights, legal responsibilities, and the active role of youth in strengthening the democratic framework of the nation. Her lecture proved to be highly informative and motivating for the participants.
The event also included a Poster Making Competition, in which students creatively expressed themes related to voter awareness, democracy, and civic responsibility. Around 50 students actively participated in the programme, making the event engaging and meaningful.
Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of Kamla Nehru College for Women, congratulated Legal Literacy Club Incharges Dr. Rinka and Dr. Kamlesh, NSS Programme Officer Ms. Nidhi,Dr. Tavisha and Electoral Literacy Club Incharge Ms. Khushi, for their dedicated efforts and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students. She highlighted that such initiatives are vital in nurturing informed, aware, and responsible voters for the future of the country.
The programme concluded successfully with a renewed sense of civic duty and democratic awareness among the students.
