Under  the guidance of College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, Department of Political Science and NSS Unit  of the Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated ‘International Day of Non-violence and 153th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and 118th Birth anniversary of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri’. On this occasion various competitions like Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing, Speech and Patriotic song were organised. PPT was shown to the students. Students enthusiastically participated in this event. Dr. Savinder Pal, college Principal talked about the teachings of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi ji. Remembering the slogan  of Shri Lal Bhahur Shastri  ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ she motivated the students to follow the foot steps of these great personalities in every walk of life. Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated Dr. Rinka ,Head, department of Political Science,Dr. Lalit kumar and Ms Nidhi jassal,Programme officers for organising such events .
