KNCW Excels at Inter-College Competition at HMV College, Jalandhar, Punjab

Under the guidance of college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, the Science department of Kamla Nehru College for Women (KNCW) participated in an inter-college competition held at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (HMV), Jalandhar, Punjab, on March 12, 2025. This event showcased the talents and creativity of students from various colleges in the region. A total of 28 students from KNCW took part in a range of activities including Quiz, Poster Presentation, Rangoli, and Rang De Prakriti, which focused on succulent and foliage plants. The competition provided a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, while also fostering a spirit of healthy competition among peers.

In addition to the competitions, students had the opportunity to attend an enlightening extension lecture delivered by Dr. Ashish from Punjab Technical University (P.T.U.), who spoke on India’s significant contributions to the world of Mathematics and its future scope. Ritika and Satwinder Kaur from B.Sc. Computer Science and Non-Medical Sem II secured the third prize and Manraj Kaur Malhi and Rakhi from B.Sc. Non-Medical Sem II received appreciation for their outstanding efforts in the Poster Presentation category. In the Rang De Prakriti event, KNCW students excelled, winning the 2nd prize for their succulent and cacti display, as well as the 3rd prize for their foliage plants.

Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of KNCW, expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments and congratulated them on their remarkable performance. She emphasized the importance of participating in such events, encouraging students to continue exploring their interests and talents in the future.
