Day 6 of NSS Seven-Day Special Camp
Day 6 of the NSS Seven-Day Special Camp began with a morning assembly followed by physical exercises. This was followed by completing wall paintings. Two meaningful wall paintings were created focusing on social awareness, responsible citizenship, and youth.
The worthy Principal Ma’am, Dr. Savinder Pal, Vice Principal Ma’am Dr. Ruminder Kaur, along with NSS Programme Officers Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Tavisha, accorded a green welcome to the esteemed resource persons Mr. Vijay Kanwar Pal ( DSP, Jalandhar) and Ms. Usha Rani ( SHO, Phagwara) after the tree plantation ceremony. Ms. Inderpreet and Mr. Kuldip Singh were also present during the ceremony, adding grace and significance to the occasion.
Mr. Vijay Kanwar Pal, DSP of Punjab Police, Jalandhar, who graced the occasion and delivered an enlightening and highly informative lecture on Cyber Security. His valuable guidance on cyber crimes, online frauds, data privacy, and responsible use of social media truly empowered students to remain alert, aware, and safe in the digital world. Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal, appreciated the valuable guidance shared by the respected Mr. Vijay Kanwar Pal, DSP and Ms. Usha Rani, SHO which will help students remain alert, informed, and responsible citizens.
The evening session was enriched by Ms. Rajni Bala, Advocate, Civil Court, Phagwara, who delivered an impactful lecture on “Nasha-Mukt Punjab.” She sensitised students about the ill effects of drug abuse, legal implications, and the importance of responsible citizenship, motivating youth to actively contribute towards a drug-free society.
Recreational and team-based games were organised by the NSS Programme Officers to rejuvenate the volunteers.
The day concluded on a highly motivated and positive note. Overall, Day 6 was informative, engaging, and impactful, significantly contributing to the objectives of the NSS Seven-Day Special Camp.
