Celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar
Under the able guidance of college Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, celebrated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event was jointly organized by the NSS Unit, Legal Literacy Cell, Fine Arts Department, and Buddy Group of the college.
To mark the occasion, a series of meaningful activities were conducted. NSS volunteers visited the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Memorial Park, Phagwara, to pay tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution. A Poster Making Competition was organized to allow students to creatively express their thoughts on Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions and ideology. Additionally, a documentary film showcasing the life and achievements of Dr. Ambedkar was screened for the students, fostering a deeper understanding of his legacy.
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and motivated the students to follow the values of equality, justice, and education as envisioned by Dr. Ambedkar. She also lauded the enthusiastic participation of students and volunteers in making the event a success.
The celebration served as a reminder of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy and inspired students to uphold the ideals he stood for.
