he Red Ribbon Club of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a special event to mark HIV/AIDS Day on 15th October 2025. The programme aimed to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and promote preventive and responsible behavior among students.
The event was held in the Audio-Visual Lab at 11:00 a.m., featuring engaging activities such as a Poster Making Competition and a Declamation Competition. A total of 20 students participated in the competitions, enthusiastically showcasing their creativity and expression to convey strong messages about health awareness, empathy, and social responsibility.
The session was organized by Ms. Priyanka ( Nodal Officer RRC ) and Ms. Khushi, who motivated the students to actively participate in the fight against HIV/AIDS through education and awareness.
Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of the college, appreciated the efforts of the Red Ribbon Club and encouraged students to continue contributing towards building a more informed and compassionate society.
The event successfully reinforced the college’s commitment to holistic education and community welfare by combining learning with meaningful social action.
