Celebration of “Basant Panchami”

Kamla Nehru College for Women” was transformed into a vibrant sea of yellow as the college community gathered to celebrate “Basant Panchami” with immense cultural fervor and traditional grace. Marking the arrival of the spring season and honoring “Goddess Saraswati”, the event saw a spectacular display of unity, with every faculty member dressed in beautiful shades of yellow attire, symbolizing energy and the blossoming of nature. The highlight of the celebration was the “Handmade Yellow Feast,” where teachers and students showcased their culinary skills by preparing a variety of traditional yellow cuisines, including saffron-infused sweet rice (Meethe Chawal), Biryani, handmade besan laddoos, cake, savory dhoklas and many more. This shared meal emphasized the spirit of togetherness and the preservation of heritage through the labor of love.
During the festivities, the Principal Dr. Savinder Pal formally addressed the gathering, expressing immense pride in the collective effort and extending her heartfelt congratulations to the entire staff for their dedication in organizing such a seamless and joyful event. She remarked that such celebrations are vital in keeping the roots of our culture alive in the hearts of the youth. The day concluded with the distribution of the handmade delicacies and a sense of renewed optimism, leaving the campus buzzing with the warmth of the new season.
