The Fashion Designing Department successfully organized a creative and eco-friendly event titled “Best out of Waste” on 15th September 2025 at 10:30 AM within the department premises. The competition was held under the esteemed supervision of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, with an aim to promote creativity, sustainability, and environmental awareness among students. A total of twenty-eight enthusiastic students participated in the event and showcased their artistic skills by transforming everyday waste materials into beautiful and useful items. Participants displayed remarkable innovation and imagination in crafting items such as: Photo Frames, Baskets, Wall Hangings, Pen Stands, Door Mats, Decorative Pieces, Origami Dress and Flower Pots .
Komalpreet kaur of BSc.Fd.1st semester begged First Position. Amandeep Suman MSc.Fd.3rd semester . Anamika Sharma MSc.Fd 3rd semester begged Third Position. Whereas Nidhi Saini Diploma in Fashion Designing and Lakshmi BSc.Fd.3rd semester got Consolation Prizes.
The event was organized under the able supervision of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, who graced the occasion and interacted with the participants. Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to continue making progress in their creative journey. The Principal also appreciated the sincere efforts of the Fashion Designing Department and motivated the faculty to organize more such events in the future to enhance the practical and creative skills of the students.
The competition concluded on a positive and inspiring note, leaving both participants and organizers motivated to pursue creativity through sustainable practices.
