Art Meets Awareness

Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, continued its week-long Swachh Bharat Campaign with enthusiastic participation on Day 2. The activities for the day included a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Swachh Bharat – A Step Towards a Cleaner India” and a Waste to Art Competition where students showcased their creativity by turning waste materials into beautiful art pieces.
The competitions aimed at sensitizing students about the importance of cleanliness, waste management, and recycling, while also encouraging them to spread the message of sustainability through innovative expressions.
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal applauded the participants for their artistic talent and their commitment towards building a cleaner and greener India. She emphasized that such activities not only develop creativity among students but also instill a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
The day’s events were successfully coordinated by NCC CTO Ms. Khushi, NSS Programme Officers Ms. Nidhi and Dr. Tavisha, Red Ribbon Club Nodal Officer Ms. Priyanka, and Eco Club Nodal Officer Dr. Priyanka Aeri.
The Swachh Bharat Campaign, jointly organized by NCC, NSS, Red Ribbon Club, and the Eco Club, will continue with more activities till October 1, 2025, aiming to inspire students to contribute actively to the vision of a clean and green nation.
