Anti-Terrorism Day

Under the able leadership of College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, the NSS Unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, observed Anti-Terrorism Day with great zeal and a strong commitment to national unity and integrity.

To mark the occasion, a short awareness video was screened for NSS volunteers to educate them about the impact and consequences of terrorism. An informative lecture was also organized to sensitize students about the importance of peace and communal harmony in the country. NSS Programme Officers Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar addressed the volunteers, enlightening them on how terrorism affects society and highlighting the vital role of youth in promoting peace and security.

College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated the efforts of the Programme Officers, Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar, and encouraged the students to remain informed, vigilant, and responsible citizens. She emphasized that education and awareness are powerful tools in combating terrorism and strengthening the nation’s democratic fabric.

The event concluded with the Anti-Terrorism Pledge, taken by Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, Programme Officers Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar, along with all NSS volunteers. The pledge reaffirmed their commitment to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence and to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation. Around 100 students actively participated in the observance of Anti-Terrorism Day, showcasing their dedication to promoting peace and national unity.
