Anti Ragging Week

According to the guidelines of UGC and Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal , Anti-Ragging Week was celebrated at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara from 12th August to 18th August 2025, by incorporating various activities aimed to fosters a respectful and secure campus environment. On August 12,2025, Anti- ragging committee organised a Presentation which was presented by Mansi, student of B.C.A Sem III. She made students aware about the forms and punishments of ragging. On August 13 , 2025, A poster making activity was organised in which students from B.C.A sem V named Akanksha Sharma ,Shaniya, Sanjana were grabbed first ,second and third positions respectively. On 14th pledge was taken by students.On August 18, Short documentary films and some TVC related to this subject were shown to students. Also , Anti-ragging cell was formed in which students of all departments involved including Central Association. In concluding session, students took an oath that they will not be involved in ragging in any direct or indirect form and will do their part to remove this evil from the society. On this occasion the Principal Dr. Savinder Pal addressed students that Ragging is a serious offense which could not be tolerant in any form and strict actions will be taken against anyone found engaging in such activities. Also, She encouraged all students to stand against ragging as well as support their juniors in creating a positive campus. Around 650 students participated in Anti – Ragging week activities & filled on line forms.
