The Department of Mathematics, Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara in collaboration with the IQAC, conducted an online webinar on the topic ‘MATHEMATICAL MODELLING WITH DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS’. Prof. (Dr.) Renu Bajaj, Department of Mathematics, Panjab University, Chandigarh was invited as resource person. Ms. Priyanka, HOD, Department of Sciences welcomed and introduced Prof. (Dr.) Renu Bajaj. A formal welcome was extended by the college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal. Prof.(Dr.) Renu Bajaj discussed the use and importance of mathematical models to calculate the approximate calculations in various fields. She focused on the relation of models with dynamical system. She taught students how to obtain equations by co-relating it with real life examples. Dr. Savinder Pal, the college principal, emphasized that such webinars play an important role to understand Mathematics. She further congratulated the organizers for the grand success of this webinar. Ms. Priyanka, assistant professor in Mathematics proposed a vote of thanks. Almost 100 participants including professors and students attended this webinar.
