Faculty Member of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara Attends AICTE–MoE Innovation & Entrepreneurship FDP at DAV College, Amritsar

We are pleased to share that Ms. Nidhi Jassal, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, participated in a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, organized by DAV College, Amritsar, in association with AICTE and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, from 7th July to 11th July 2025.

The FDP aimed to equip faculty members with innovative tools and pedagogical strategies to foster entrepreneurial thinking and creativity among students. Key sessions included:

🔹 Customer Discovery & Empathy Mapping using the AEIOU framework
🔹 Value Proposition Design and Business Model Canvas
🔹 Design Thinking and Innovation Strategy
🔹 Pitching Techniques for Startups
🔹 Intellectual Property Rights and Startup Ecosystems

Ms. Nidhi Jassal shared that the FDP offered valuable, hands-on insights which she plans to incorporate through innovation-integrated teaching. She also intends to initiate activities such as idea-generation sessions and business model development workshops to inspire and nurture entrepreneurship among students.

On the final day, Ms.Nidhi Jassal presented her institution-wide action plan focused on integrating innovation and entrepreneurship into the curriculum, fostering inter-disciplinary collaboration, and organizing startup-oriented activities for students.

Principal Dr. Savinder Pal graciously provided this valuable opportunity, recognizing the importance of faculty development in enhancing teaching-learning practices. She also congratulated Ms. Nidhi Jassal for her enthusiastic participation and appreciated her commitment to embedding innovation and entrepreneurship into the academic environment, thereby contributing to the institution’s culture of excellence.
