Five distinguished mothers honoured and appreciated
– As every year, a meaningful a special ceremony dedicated to Mother’s Day was organized at the Blood Bank, Guru Hargobind Nagar, Phagwara. The event was held under the guidance of patron Mr. K.K. Sardana and under the supervision of President Malkiat Singh Raghbotra, in collaboration with various social organizations.

On this occasion, five distinguished mothers were honoured with shawls, mementos, and certificates of appreciation to recognize and encourage their contributions. The honoured mothers included Dr. Savinder Pal, (Director Academics, KNCW),Dr. Tajpreet, Sunita Middha, Meena Rani, and Shashi Saini.

Providing details, President Malkiat Singh Raghbotra stated that in India, the second Sunday of May is observed as Mother’s Day, with the aim of expressing respect and gratitude towards mothers. He also highlighted that the mothers being honoured have played a significant role in inspiring their children to achieve great success in life

Before the felicitation ceremony, Neha Gupta performed a traditional tilak ceremony and tied mauli (sacred thread) on the mothers, followed by a shower of flowers.

On the occasion, Mrs. Sarabjit Kaur Dhaliwal, wife of MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, was specially present and extended her best wishes to the honoured mothers. She emphasized that a mother always plays a crucial role in the progress and success of her children and deserves utmost respect.

The success of the event was greatly supported by Dr. S. Rajan. Several organizations contributed to the event , including Rotary, JCI, Lions Club, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Udaan Shalini Group, Citizen Rights Forum, Environment Association, Divine Angels, Inner Wheel Club, Alliance International, among others.

The honoured mothers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Blood Bank and all participating clubs for the recognition. The Inner Wheel Club also presented beautiful gifts to the honoured mothers.
