The Home Science Association at Kamla Nehru College, Phagwara, organized a nighty making workshop on March 24, 2026, under the esteemed guidance of Director Academics Dr. Savinder Pal. The event aimed to enhance the students’ practical skills in garment construction and design. Dr. Ruminder Kaur, Officiating Principal, graced the occasion.

Madam Sugandha, lecturer from ASSN College, Mukandpur, visited Kamla Nehru College and gave a hands-on demonstration to the students of BA Home Science, teaching them various techniques of nighty making, from drafting making, measuring and cutting fabric to stitching and embellishing. The workshop was a great learning experience for the students, who actively participated and learned the art of creating beautiful, comfortable nighties.

The event encouraged the students to continue honing their skills in textile design and garment construction. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, and students left with their handmade nighties and a newfound appreciation for the art of garment making.
