Kamla Nehru College for Women,
Phagwara, organized an educational and recreational trip to Dharamshala and McLeodganj on 21st March 2026. A total of 23 students participated in the trip along with Teacher In-charges Dr. Lalit and Dr. Priyanka Aeri.

During the trip, the students visited Dharamshala, a famous place in Himachal, where they admired the breathtaking view of the Dhauladhar mountain range and enjoyed the beautiful natural surroundings. In McLeodganj, they visited Bhagsu Nag Temple, Bhagsu Waterfall, and the Dalai Lama Temple, learning about Tibetan culture, spirituality, and the peaceful way of life followed by the Buddhist community. They also explored the vibrant McLeodganj market, experiencing the local culture and traditions.

Director Academics Dr. Savinder Pal and Officiating Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur lauded the joint efforts of the Department of Music and Home Science for organizing a well-organized trip and congratulated Dr. Lalit Kumar and Dr. Priyanka Aeri, Heads of the Departments, for their success. They emphasized that such educational tours play a vital role in broadening students’ knowledge, enhancing their learning experience, and providing exposure beyond the classroom.
