A group of 40 students from the PG Department of Commerce of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara visited the IDBI Bank branch in Phagwara on 6 February 2025, as part of an educational field trip designed to deepen their understanding of the banking and financial services sector.

The visit was conducted under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Savinder Pal and Head of the Department, Ms. Sanjna Walia, and was accompanied by faculty members Ms. Anjali Soni and Ms. Poonam. The students were warmly received by the IDBI Bank team, including Mr. Deepak Batra, Branch Head, and Mr. Siddharth Dubey, Assistant Manager, who actively associated with the students and extended valuable support during the visit.

Students were provided with a detailed overview of branch operations, customer handling, digital banking solutions, and various financial services offered by the bank. The session was interactive and informative, successfully bridging the gap between academic theory and practical knowledge.

This educational experience was greatly appreciated by the students, offering them valuable exposure to real-world banking practices. Kamla Nehru College continues to encourage such industry-academia interactions for the holistic development of its students.
