The NSS Unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda by observing National Youth Week from 12th January 2026 to 19th January 2026 with great enthusiasm, dedication, and reverence.

A Youth Rally with impactful slogans followed by a Unity Run was successfully organised on 17th January 2026. The rally aimed to spread the message of unity, discipline, and nation-building among the youth, reflecting the ideals and vision of Swami Vivekananda. NSS volunteers actively participated and displayed immense zeal and social responsibility.

The celebrations concluded on 19th January 2026 with a motivational lecture on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, delivered by Ms. Nidhi Jassal, followed by a pledge-taking ceremony wherein students committed themselves to uphold values of integrity, unity, and national service.

The Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the NSS Unit and encouraged students to imbibe the timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda in their personal and professional lives. The programme was successfully organised by Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Tavisha Singh, NSS Programme Officers, with active and enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers.
