The second day of the 7-day Faculty Development Programme at Kamla Nehru College for Women Phagwara was a grand success. Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, IQAC organized the programme from December 17th to 24th, 2025. 31 faculty members participated with great enthusiasm.

The day began with a warm welcome to resource persons Shri Harjinder Singh and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur by Mrs. Swati. The first session, led by Shri Harjinder Singh, focused on “Computerization of Punjabi Language and Punjabi Typing”. He highlighted the importance of integrating Punjabi language with computers, discussing keyboard layout, fonts, and converters.

The second session, led by Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, covered downloading Punjabi fonts, their types, and usage. She also discussed the history of Punjabi fonts and tools for voice-to-text typing.

Dr. Priyanka Aeri, IQAC Coordinator, thanked the resource persons, and Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated their efforts, emphasizing the significance of Punjabi language computerization for its promotion and growth. He encouraged faculty to acquire Punjabi typing skills for better career prospects.
