Day 2 of NSS Seven-Day Special Camp

Day 2 of NSS Seven-Day Special Camp

On the second day of the NSS Seven-Day Special Camp, the day commenced with morning exercise and warm-up activities, followed by a prayer session to inculcate discipline, positivity, and a sense of collective responsibility among the volunteers. After refreshments, the NSS volunteers visited Chakk-Hakim village along with the NSS Programme Officers, Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Tavisha Singh.

The visit was graced by the presence of the village Sarpanch, Shri Varun Bangar, along with Shri Gulshan Kumar, Shri Tilak Raj, and Shri Parmjeet, who appreciated the sincere efforts and enthusiasm of the NSS volunteers. During the visit, the volunteers interacted with local villagers, including women residents, and discussed about social responsibility, self-employment opportunities, and the active role of youth in community development. The interaction included meaningful conversations with local village women, and conveying the messages of empowerment and motivating them towards self-employment.

A rally was also organized in the village, during which the volunteers raised impactful slogans such as “My Bharat, Youth Power” and “Youth for My Bharat”, spreading awareness about youth participation in nation-building and social transformation.

The activity was followed by a visit to Gurudwara Tallan Sahib Darbar, where the NSS volunteers actively participated in seva, including washing utensils, assisting in langar seva, cutting vegetables, and helping in chapati making. Through this experience, the volunteers imbibed the values of selfless service, equality, humility, and communal harmony.

After returning to the college campus, the volunteers carried out a cleanliness drive, reinforcing the message of hygiene, environmental responsibility, and civic duty.

The day’s activities were effectively coordinated under the able guidance of the NSS Programme Officers, Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Tavisha Singh, with wholehearted participation from all NSS volunteers, making the second day of the camp meaningful, disciplined, and impactful.
