The Department of English at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, organized an engaging and educational session of language learning activities for the students of Junior college. The event aimed to promote creative learning and enhance students’ command over grammar and vocabulary through interactive methods.

Two major activities were conducted during the session. The first was a Model Presentation on Prepositions, where students demonstrated their understanding through beautifully designed and informative models. The second was a Vocabulary Crossword Competition, which encouraged students to think critically and expand their word knowledge in a fun and challenging way.

Students participated with great enthusiasm and teamwork. A total of three teams competed in the crossword event, and the first position was bagged by the team comprising Kritika, Manpreet Kaur, and Smiksha, who were honored with Grammar books as prizes for their excellent performance.

The event was graced by Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of the College, and Dr. Ruminder kaur, Vice Principal. Both appreciated the students’ active participation and motivated them to keep enhancing their language skills. Principal Dr. Savinder Pal also applauded the sincere efforts of Ms. Vatandeep Kaur from the Department of English, along with Isha Chabra, Head of the Department and Harpreet singh, for organizing the event successfully and creatively.

The program proved to be a delightful blend of fun and learning, providing students with an opportunity to express their creativity, improve their linguistic skills, and gain confidence through collaborative learning.
