Diwali Carnival
The campus of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, shimmered with joy and celebration as the Learn Earn Club organized a grand Diwali Carnival on 17th October 2025. The event aimed to blend festivity with creativity and entrepreneurship, encouraging students to learn through experience and teamwork.
Nearly 100 students actively participated in setting up and managing various stalls, showcasing their talent, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial skills.
The Science Department presented three attractive stalls that became major highlights of the event. The first stall offered a mouth-watering variety of eatables such as donuts, brownies, jar cakes, and other sweet delicacies that delighted everyone. The second stall showcased decorative items for Diwali, creatively made by students. The third stall displayed a stunning collection of beautiful bangles, which captured everyone’s attention with their vibrant designs and festive sparkle.
The Home Science Department also contributed enthusiastically by setting up a food stall serving bhel puri and sandwiches, both of which were greatly appreciated by visitors.
Adding artistic charm to the carnival, the Fine Arts Department exhibited beautifully decorated diyas, all handcrafted by students. These colorful and creative diyas added a traditional touch to the festive atmosphere.
The event was graced by Principal Dr. Savinder Pal Kaur, who served as the Chief Guest, and Vice Principal Ms. Ruminder Ma’am, both of whom appreciated the students’ innovation, efforts, and entrepreneurial spirit. Their presence added warmth and encouragement to the celebration.
The Diwali Carnival, organized by the Learn Earn Club, truly reflected the essence of the festival, a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and celebration while spreading the message of joy, self-reliance, and teamwork among students.
