Swachh Bharat Week

Kamla Nehru College for Women concluded its week-long Swachh Bharat Campaign with great enthusiasm, showcasing the creativity and commitment of students towards building a cleaner and greener nation.
Day 1 (25 September 2025) began with an Eco-Friendly Plastic-Free Drive and a Cleanliness Drive where students spread awareness about minimizing single-use plastic and promoting sustainable alternatives.
Day 2 (26 September 2025) featured a Poster Making Competition and Best out of Waste Activity, encouraging students to blend innovation with environmental responsibility by reusing discarded materials to create useful and artistic products.
Day 3 (27 September 2025) witnessed a burst of colors through a Rangoli Competition, where participants designed eco-friendly rangolis carrying messages of cleanliness, hygiene, and plastic-free living.
Day 4 (29 september 2025) brought life to the campus walls with a Wall Painting Competition organized by the NCC and NSS units. Armed with brushes and colors, students transformed plain walls into vibrant canvases of awareness with impactful slogans and visuals such as
स्वच्छता को अपनाना है,
समाज में खुशियाँ लाना है।
हर दिल में यह ठानना है,
भारत को स्वच्छ बनाना है।
The initiative not only beautified the campus but also served as a permanent reminder of civic responsibility.
Day 5 (1 October 2025) marked the conclusion of the campaign with meaningful activities. NCC cadets recited a poem on cleanliness, NCC CTO Ms. Khushi delivered an inspiring lecture, and NSS Programme Officer Dr. Tavisha administered the Swachh Bharat Pledge, reinforcing the vision of collective action for a sustainable future.
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated the students’ efforts, highlighting how such artistic expressions instill environmental consciousness. The event was successfully coordinated by NCC CTO Ms. Khushi and NSS Programme Officers Ms. Nidhi and Dr. Tavisha, who encouraged students to use art as a tool for social change.
