Economics Society (Department of Economics) organised “Slogan Writing Competition on GST and Essay writing Competition on “Impact of Tariffs on Indian Economy” on 16 Sep, 2025 at 10.20 am. in Department of Economics. More than 50 students participated in the competition. In these competitions, students expressed their views about GST through slogans and by Writing Essays on Impact of Tariffs on Indian Economy. Department of Economics organised these competitions under the supervision of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal. Dr. Sudhamani Sood, the judge of the event declared the result. Rupinder kaur of B.A. (3rd sem) bagged Ist position, Sumridhi of Bsc. Eco (Ist sem) got IInd position, Manpreet Kaur B.B.A. (3rd sem) got 3rd position and Komalpreet, Neerja, Gurjeet got consolation prizes in Essay Writing Competition. Sharanpreet Kaur of B.B.A. (Ist sem) bagged Ist position , Sania of B.B.A.(Ist sem) got IInd position, Ashmeet Kaur of +1Commerce got 3rd position, and Sanjna, Khushpreet Kaur and Tanisha got consolation prizes in Slogan Writing Competition. Principal Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated the students for their achievements and also motivated them to make progress. She also appreciated the efforts of the faculty members of the department and motivated them to organise such events in future.
