On 15 September 2025, the English Literary Society of Kamla Nehru College for Women organized “PoetiQ”, an engaging literary event comprising a Spell Bee competition and a Quiz on poetry and its nuances. Teams representing various courses and semesters participated with great enthusiasm.
The event was held under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Savinder Pal, who also graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The programme commenced with the Spell Bee round, where students showcased their command over language in a keenly contested competition. The qualifying teams then moved on to an intellectually stimulating poetry-based quiz, which tested their knowledge of poetic devices and literary traditions. About 50 students attended the event.
In her address, the Principal encouraged the students to participate actively in such academic and cultural activities, while appreciating the Department of English for initiating and executing this enriching event. All participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their enthusiastic involvement.
