On September 15, 2025, the Home Science Association and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organized a community outreach program under the guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal. As part of this initiative, 12 students and teachers distributed nutritious food and Rashan to underprivileged individuals in the surrounding areas of Phagwara.

Dr. Priyanka Aeri, Head of the Department of Home Science, educated the beneficiaries about the importance of nutritious food, emphasizing its significance for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. Madam Vishali and Madam Isha also encouraged them to consume seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The outreach program aimed to provide relief to flood-affected communities while instilling a sense of social responsibility among students. By engaging in this initiative, students developed empathy and understanding of their duties towards vulnerable sections of society.

Principal Prof. Dr. Savinder Pal commended the students for their selfless gesture, highlighting that true fulfillment lies in giving without expectation. She reaffirmed the college’s commitment to social responsibility and outreach programs.
